At our venue it was the maitre d that coordinated our walk down the aisle. We did talk to our officiant also in the bridal suite beforehand. but it was our maitre d that lined us up and all that.

For the ceremony part (where to stand, etc.), the officiant does that and will typically let you know that during the rehearsal. As for sending everyone down the aisle, if you're at a church the limo driver often lends a hand with this (unless your chuch has a sacristan or their own coordinator). If your'e at a RH, I'd imagine either the bridal attendant or maitre d, but I'm not sure.

For my sisters wedding the wedding coordinator did a the rehearsal at the venue. We had a second rehearsal and the officiant did it at the church. He doesn't go to the venue.

I am curious about this as well. I asked my officiant if she would run the actual rehearsal at the venue and she said no that usually someone at the venue would do this. I don't plan on seeing my FH beforehand on the day of the wedding so I would like everyone in the wedding party, parents, etc to know where they need to stand and when to walk down the aisle, I guess I should cally my RH?

at my moh's wedding, the officiate coordinated the ceremony and her RH provided her with a MC/Coordinator who told us what to do (but she didn't do a good job, she was so boring during the reception).

If you don't have a DOC, I would say discuss with your Maitre'd and officiant what you'd like to see happen and then go from there.

when the ceremony is in the church you have usually had a rehearsal, and the limo person is usually a huge help!
