I knew I had found my dress when the tears started uncontrollably. I had it on and I looked at the back of the dress and just felt like... a princess. I started to cry which led to 4 of my BMs crying and the woman helping me said Ok, I think that's the one!

Re: Who cried when they knew it was their dress?
Do you really like it? I wasn't sure about the sleeves and the fact that the skirt is tulle. Ever since I was little, I pictured myself in this flowing princessy dress and that is what I got. But then I keep looking all of these elegant beautiful satin dresses and I start to second guess myself.
I'm 5'7' tall. Why?

I had to ask before i tell you this- lol.
I so badly wanted a dress with that awesome tulle bottom- I love it- and it was what I always wanted. I am 5'2', and every dress I tried like that made me look like a cake! I hated it! I wish I was tall so I could wear YOUR dress!!! You are very lucky! here is mine... (which I love anyway)
See, now yours is the type of dress that I am talking about. Very simple and elegant AND strapless! I love it!

I have to line my sleeves with satin. They itch like crazy.
Hmmmm. . . What size are you? Maybe we could switch!

Your dress would be tea length on me. Now that would be a pretty sight! I don't know what would be worse that, or me running around in my hoop skirt and shoes!

My tiara's still at the bridal shop. I think I get it when I get the dress. Why don't you get a hoop? It would go perfectly with your dress.

Thanks! You are so sweet! I got my hoop on ebay. It was $30 I think. None of the bridal shops seem to carry them. In fact, they all look at me as if I am crazy when I say that I am wearing one.

Why would you look like a cake? I think the skirt you have is perfect for a hoop, no matter what your height. Are you wearing heels?

Very little heels, maybe 2 inches. Fh is short, and doesn't want me taller than him!

Re: Who cried when they knew it was their dress?
I didn't cry when I ordered my dress...however, I did cry the moment we left the bridal salon because my FI GOT OUR CAR TOWED IN NYC!!!!!
I begged him to park in a garage...but no, he thought this 'spot' in the garment district looked good...he didn't see the no standing sign, let alone the fact that there were no cars parked, only vans that were unloading.
He got the car back a few hours later, and I felt much better, and so now we have a good story!
