Ok here is my querstion. I am doing these placecards. Whenever I go to a wedding the first thing I do is pick up the card. People are not gonna want to pick up the candles and carry them around all coctail hour. How did you conquer this issue??Make an announcment? Write a little not on the table? or hope people use common sense?

you can make a little framed poem and keep them unlit until the last 10 mins of the cocktail hour. Then someone from the catering hall will light them. Have your BP spread the word about picking up the placecards on the way out of the cocktail hour. People from your BP or your wedding assustant provided by the reception hall can assist your guests.
