If you had a mass, who did you ask to bring up the gifts? A family members? Friends? How many gift bearers are there usually anyway? I can't believe I haven't asked anyone yet

Re: Who did you ask to bring up the gifts?
FH's godparents. and an aunt & uncle that i'm close to.
so we're using 4 people.
I think 4 is a good number, but there is no set limit.

Re: Who did you ask to bring up the gifts?
Thank you for the ideas! Do you think it would be okay for me to ask my brother, and for FH to ask his dad? Also is 2 people enough?

Re: Who did you ask to bring up the gifts?
I had my godparents and FH had his godparents. (4 total)
You can definitely have two.... But you can have 4- there were two containers of hosts and one took the water and the last one took the wine.
I've also seen couples make a basket for the poor to be donated to St. Vincent's DePaul or a baby basket for the Pro-Life program, etc. that can also be carried up at that time.

We only needed two...you can choose 4 people...but my sister used 4 and only 2 hold the gifts (wine and bread)...we asked my cousin and FH's good friend

We are asking our parents.
We are doing the same. Our priest said normally its 2 people but if we want to do 4 he would 'find something for them to do'

Re: Who did you ask to bring up the gifts?
my church only told us to do 2 people b/c during the mass the gifts are right at the side of the altar, not at back like they normally are...also, there is usually only 2 things to bring up (at least in my church) Anyway, we are asking my BIL and his SIL.
