who did your alterations?

I need help. I spent $300 for my altertions & everything is wrong. I brought it back once but it's still not right. (he thinks it is so if I want him to fix it again he will charge me more)
I guess at this point I should just go somewhere else but it just kills me that I paid him so much $ for nothing.
Any suggestions? Where else could I go? I live in nassau county so someone around here would be more convenient. Thanks

I bought my dress and did my alterations at burtons in huntington.
Can't you insist that you paid him $300 and he has to fix it until you're happy?

that seems ridiculous to me! get loud and if worse comes to worse cry!!! you should not have to pay more if he did a piss poor job. what exactly is wrong with your dress? what is it that you're unhappy about?

i had my alterations done at kleinfelds where i bought it.

if you still need an alterations place go to Moda Alterations in Franklin Sq. Agnes did a beautiful job on all my BM's dresses and i'm sure she'll take good care of you.

He sewed in bra pads but they were really bumpy so I asked him to take them out but now the straps fall down because the top is too big.
The waiste is a little to tight, I told him that as he was pinning it but he said that's how it's supposed to be.
Also, he used silver metal hooks for the bustle and they looked like bugs on my dress when I took a picture of it.
Last thing, I asked him to make the back into a corsett and he just sewd ribbon across, I could have done that.
I'm going to try going to him once more but after that I'm just going to have to get over the $ and get it done somewhere else

Im really bad at it too! Thats why I bring back-up lol. Keep us updated and keep your head up...I know this must be so frustrating. How can people be so awful? Like us brides dont have a million other things to worry about...
