Who does....

the setting up of things that I do myself the day of the wedding?

I did not get a DOC cause I just cant afford it. I am making my own centerpieces and bringing in all my own candles (flameless cause RH doesnt allow real one....historical landmark). I do want flowers added to the centerpieces I make but I dont think the florist will set-up mine...or willl they?

Has anyone done this before? Who sets up all the stuff you do on your own the day of your own wedding? And how do I trust whoever does it for me...that they do it the way i want?

I spoke to my RH and asked if the staff could make my CP's for me they said they would as long as they were not too complicated and they would need a pic to make sure it's correct

Thats what I thought maybe we could do.....drop everything off the day before or early that morning.

The staff from the location of the wedding sets that up. Also you should have a Matre D who helps out. I would also assume that the florist would be setting things up as well.

When I went to visit the place I booked.. there was a party that day. As we waited in the foyer we saw the staff setting up for a wedding.. and let me tell you, it was one of the reasons we booked where we did. I saw how much time and care they put into making sure everyting looked just PERFECT! This one guy was taking his time with setting up this display peice on one of the console tables on the foyer. He was sooooo maticulous. They all were!

Just becuase now you have me thinking... who sets up the church? I figure the florist if you ordered that stuff from him... but what if you have someone else making pew bows or something??? who goes and sets that up for you? Do the GM unroll the aisle runner? I think I read that somewhere but I'm not sure.
Also, do GM act as an usher as well? Like help people to their seats? My mother told me this and I don't know if it's true or not.

The staff at the RH should set up everything for you...Definitely run it by them though...

As for the church and pew bows, from my experience, you are on your own with that. Two of DH's sister's went earlier and set them up for us. Some churches might be different, and we actually didn't even ask the church about it, just assumed it was our responsibility...

u usually bring EVERYTHING to the RH the week before with directions on where u want it all. They take care of everything the day of...however they will only use what u bring - unless they tell u otherwise. just give them a call and ask

The RH should do it for you, except my RH requires the florist to set up any candles or votives they bring in for insurance purposes.

But your florist would set up everything they bring anyway!
