Who else does this?

Since I get a lot of advice from everyone on here, I sometimes share it w/ others outside LIW. If they ask me who I heard it from, I say 'my friend' and hope they don't ask who or friend from where. I would get tore apart if some of my friends new I wrote all day on here about hair and stuff. DH knows my advice is from here though. He has even told me to ask you guys a few questions.

All the time! My DH and mother really know where it is coming from, and they always roll their eyes!!

Anytime I reiterate something from here, Rich is like 'where did you hear that from (as in the Brad/Angelina thing)' and I tell him the boards....

I get no comment

same here!!! just about house stuff, but still!! even he knows what a great resource you guys are!!

I do the same thing! And I also hope they don't ask who the friend is because then I'd have to try to explain the whole wedding message board thing!

I admit the boards to Darren only

That's funny...I say 'my friend' too...hoping no one asks..I'm a little to say..especially because it's a Wedding Website..

I do the same thing.

DH and a few friends know that I am on here. Some of DH's friends 'found out' and give me a little grief about it.... but otherwise - I really don't care what others think of me. But in that same respect, I am mindful of what I post.

I never even have to explain to DH any more. If I come out with some kind of whacky story of some sort that I heard off of here, he always says, 'let me guess, you heard that on liweddings.'

'A Friend' unless the person I tell knows I post on LIW all day

Yes...i do that too...

Or if it comes from people that i talk to more often via email or IM's i say 'my friend____'
