Who else does this?

Goes to see a vendor with a list of questions. I mean an actual list where you write in the answers. I do this for everyone. I'd rather rattle off my questions 1st and write in the answer so that I can compare vendor more easily. I think the vendors hate this but I am so anal about certain things that I have to do it this way.

I do. I 'HAVE' to have everything in order according to how I want it. It's a 'MUST' in my book. And I do think they get annoyed but I don't care it's my money being spent, and I deserve to have what I want

I've only been to halls ... but the band and photographer is next.
I'm def gonna bring a book with a list of ?'s

Definitely! I found if we didn't there were always things we would forget to ask or things we would forget they said when we walked out. It's a great idea! You would do it if you go on a job interview...and should interviewing vendors too.

I do! I have a written list of questions that i bring with me. I have used it for the RH, the florist, the dj, the photographer and even the church!

I wanted to make sure i didn't forget to ask anything while I was there and it was nice to be able to go back and look at the answers i wrote once i got home.

The priest was actually very impressed by it and asked if i found it on teh internet or made it myself

1. What time will photography begin
2. How many photographers will their be
3. What type of pictures do they take
4. Do they have assistants
5. Do you use digital or film
6. If film is it 35mm or medium 2 1/4
7. does the photographer stay umtil the end of the reception
8. Approximately how many proofs
9. Are proofs stamped with your company name
10. Are proofs put into an album
11. Do we receive Hi Resolution cd's or negatives
12. How long after can we have the cd or negatives
13. How long before we see proffs
14. How many Thank you's do we receive
15. Are they wallets or 'hallmark style'
16. Is there an extra charge for 'hallmark'
17. How much for extra thank you's
18. How long after we choose thank you pick will we receive them
19. How long after we pick album picks will we see layout
20. Can we make changes to the layout
21. How long after layout approval do we receive albums
22. Do you or your photographers personall work on the albums or do you send them out to a lab

And that's just for photography. I have a whole other set of ?'s for videography.
This is also assuming they have specific packages. I also ask for a specific amount of pictures per album, etc.

Yor definately anal, and thorough at that. Not a bad thing. I already have the questions in my head, so theres no need for a list. My FH is my list if I need one

i write questions down because if i don't i will forget, and then i kick myself when i leave.. I actually like some of those questions that I never came up with..

I did..I don't think it drove anyone nuts. They answered all my questions. I was able to do a side by side very easily.

ive only been to halls but im going to start writing things down because i forget half of what i want to ask, i think im gonna save that list of ?'s thats a great list!

i attempted to do this.....I wold end up scribbling questions all over the place. For my e-party I did a side-by-side on the computer after I looked at each place. It helped a lot to do that
