Who else here is so brave as to let FH do their laundry??

This is just so baffling I had to share! Men amaze me.....

FH and I live together, and try to split the household duties accordingly. I HATE doing laundry, and he doesn't mind it, so that's become sort of his thing to do around the apartment.

Well, first let me say I DID train him well - he knows his permanent press clothes from his cottons and whites, and what gets washed in hot and warm etc.....and most importantly he knows to stay away from my delicates which I do myself.

So...... FH did laundry on Friday night, a lot of it. In it was all of my cotton underwear which I desperately needed, and jeans, tshirts etc.... Well, you know how if you jam too much clothing into the dryer, it won't always dry all the way in the allotted time? In which case, a normal person would put it in a little longer, or hang whatever is wet to dry......(oh yes you can see where this is going )

So, SATURDAY MORNING, I am getting ready for work, I open up my underwear drawer and they are ALL STILL WET!! I looked at FH and was like, what the hell is wrong with you? This is the typical guy response I get 'What? They'll dry eventually...' Um, yea...given after 12 hours sitting in the drawer they were still wet. As were my jeans which he'd put away were wet as well I sooned discovered......

Really, I'm speechless. I couldn't even get mad at him because I was just so amazed he actually did that!

Men.....I would love to hear what goes on in their heads..... Come on, I know I'm not the only one with one of these stories!

yeah, I have a similar weekend laundry story.... Normally, I visit mom every weekend, do laundry at her house, and help her out with gardening.... then we go food shopping together...

well, FH came with me this weekend, and he was in charge of finishing up the laundry as mom and I went food shopping. He was supposed to take the last load out of the washer (drip dry laundry), and take the last load out of the dryer and take it home in his car....

I came home, and there were the sheets, the towels, and all the drip dry stuff.... no underwear or socks! FH's response, 'oh, I didn't know I was supposed to take that home too ' Mom lives 45 min away... All I have to say is thank god we have lots of spare socks and underwear, becuase neither of us feel like going back!

Very rarely! He usually shrinks everything!

My FH actually does our laundry-we're the opposite! I'm actually ashamed to admit it, but I've never done a load of laundry in my life. And I'm 29. I went from mom doing it to FH.

FH is NOT ALLOWED to do laundry my shiznit will be all different colors.....he vacuums.

thankfully FH knew how to do laundry before I ever came along...so lately, since he sees I am going nuts between wedding stuff & trying to keep our house from looking like a crack den, he has said he'll start doing laundry....we have a crazy all-in-one european type washer/dryer because our house is so small...so i now come home to clothes hanging everywhere....i am talking about all over the kitchen and livingroom! i guess it's better than him sticking them in the drawer wet though...haha! If he only knew you set the dryer for one more cycle!!!

Let him do the laundry? He can't even find the hamper!
He is sadly far from domesticated.

my FH, luckily, is also capable of doing my laundry. He learned to ask me before he puts anything in the wash, 'does this go on delicate?' 'does this go in the dryer?' So i trust him

i am lucky if FH doesn't leave everything in the dryer too long and shrink all my clothes (which he has been known to do on occasion...)

My FH also knows how to do the laundry. We usually do it together, but a few weeks ago when I had a lot of school work to do, he volunteered to go & do it on his own since he knew how busy i was.
