we were thinking about tahiti but ned to price it out. And we are worried it might be too isolated. what are your thoughts?

We are going to Tahiti. For us it wa b/t Hawaii, Fiji and Tahiti. Tahiti is suppose to be very isolated and doesn't have much of a night life but its suppose to be absolutely gorgeous. FM if you have any questions.

we're going for 12 days, 11 nights. tahiti (one night)--intercontinental beachcomber moorea (5 nights)--pearl resort (garden bungalow) bora bora (5 nights)--pearl resort--(ow bungalow)

I am also staying at the Pearl Resorts. 10 nights/11 days.
5 nights in Moorea Garden Bungalows
5 nights in Bora Bora in Overwater.

i dont remember the exact itinerary but it's something like:
1 night Tahiti Beachcomber Overwater Bungalow
4 nights Moorea Beachcomber Overwater Bungalow
5 nights Bora Bora Beachcomber Overwater Bungalow
oh and we're going july 13th.
also, for us we realy wanted something isolated. we can always go places that have a nightlife but for our honeymoon we wanted to just be wtih each other in a beautiful place. and it doesn't get much more beautiful than tahiti

we're going too!!! we're actually spending two nights in Papeete and then taking a 10 night cruise to Bora Bora, Moorea and a couple of other islands.

We're also considering Tahiti - more specifically, Bora Bora. Other considerations: Fiji & Costa Rica...but Tahiti just looks so amazing!
For all of you already booked...did you go all-inclusive? And if it isn't too rude to ask, would you mind sharing how much you paid?

We are going to: Tahiti for 1 night Moorea for 4 nights Bora Bora for 4 nights We are staying in all Sofitel Hotels. We did not go all inclusive, eveything I have read says not to. Its just as expensive as eating out at the local restaurants. But we did include 4 breakfasts, so we don't have to worry about hunting that down on a few mornings, we can just lay around and eat at our leisure. You all should buy a travel book titled 'Tahiti and French Polynesia' by Jan Prince. (I already told Sonia about this book--didyou buy it yet? ). it has EVETYTHING you need to know (restaurants, prices of everything, hotel descriptions, walking tours, bike tours, etc...

we decided to not do all-inclusive. we want to play it be ear .. go snorkeling when we want to, etc. so didn't really like the idea of set activities already paid for at certain islands.
Alison ~ i still havent bought that book! i saw another one .. hidden secrets or something like that .. so i was thinking of buying both at the same time (get me free shipping on amazon hehe).
also, alison gave me a GREAT website .. it has forums that will answer most of your tahiti questions.
