my parents were originally both going to walk me down the aisle following jewish tradition but for various reasons (mom's dramatic dress and fear of falling down the flight of stairs and taking me with her, etc.) i am just going to walk with my dad
so who is supposed to escort my mom?
we have an even number of bms and gms... and they will be walking in pairs. should i ask a close male relative to be an escort?

Re: who escorts mom?
Do you have a sibling? I imagine you would've thought of that if you did... does she have a favorite nephew or something? Would she be comfortable walking in alone?
ETA:
I've also seen it where fathers escort their wives (MOB) and then go back and get the bride.

Re: who escorts mom?
My dad escorted her and then came back around to escort me, but that wasn't how it was supposed to be. I had asked my uncle months before if he would do it and something got screwed up, even though I wrote down in my paperwork to the RH just days before that my uncle was walking my mom in special instructions. I guess it was my fault for not verbally telling them but I assumed someone would speak up since EVERYONE knew he was supposed to walk her down. I found out the next day that he didn't and I was shocked and upset.

Re: who escorts mom?
My parents are divorced and my dad is re-married.
We are having my brother walk her back up the aisle (I am jewish too) and have my brother escort her into the reception.

my brother is escorting her down and then walking back up another aisle (fh's church has 2 aisles) to get back in the processional as a groomsmen.

Re: who escorts mom?
I have more GMs than BMs so my brothers are going to escort my mom to help even it out... if I had an even number I would have just asked my uncle/mom's brother.
