Who filled out the 'questionairre cards' that came with registry items?

I'm thinking about filling them out. But, will they really send me new product info and special sale info related to my products, or just sell my name and address to others?

Both. My friend runs registry programs for a major dept store and gave me the skinny. Dept stores make ENORMOUS sums from bridal depts. People buy things at full retail value (high end items like china, crystal) in a defined period. Those cards are used both for them to try and hook you to buying other things at that dept store, but they almost certainly will sell the info to manufactureres--extremely lucrative for them.
