I was planning all along to get the readers gifts, but I just found out that its not 'necessary' so now I'm rethinking my whole plan.
So does anyone have any idea? I was thinking BMs, GMs, parents. Am I leaving anyone out?
And if you're getting readers, are u spending half what u spent on BMs? I can not for the life of me figure out what is the right amount to spend on them?

Entire BP (BM, MOH, BM, GM, ringbearer, Flowergirl). I think readers should get something too Parents

I brought gifts for my BP, Parents, Readers (who are our aunts), my Grandmother and our Godparents (they are bringing the gifts up during the mass).

oh yes, Groom and Bride I think should get each other gifts too!!!
Basically anyone involved in the ceremony. I am not doing godparents -personal choice, or grandmother.

I'm planning on getting gifts for everyone involved in our ceremony and our parents and grandparents. FH and I are still deciding if we'll get something for each other.

hmmm ok well we arent' getting eachother anything and not grandparents or godparents (aren't close with either)
so, then if we do get our readers something is 60. too much to spend? Ok, not too much, but alot? I was thinking about getting the girls those bead earrings from Tiffanys.

its a nice idea to get the readers a gift, certainly not as big as bridal party gifts...
something like a picture frame? then they could put a picture from your wedding in it

weird, everyone except LIW thinks giving readers gifts is going 'over the top'. Oh well I guess it can't hurt right?

I was a reader and did not get anything special for doing it, no corsages. Although, I did get invited to the rehersal dinner. I never expected anything. I think you can save your money.

I am not planning on giving gifts to readers, they are our sister in laws and frankly they don't want it. I asked and they said to spend $on something else. So I will give to just bridal party and parents

We bought gifts for the readers (they were family members), bridal party and godparents (who played a special role in our mass) - we spent 1/2 on the readers and probably the same amount on the bridal party on our godparents. One of our readers was male, so we bought him the Coach CD case from the outlet in Riverhead. Our other 2 readers we bought a silver bracelets and godparents a vase and bowl from Tiffany.

I'd get them something small, maybe a scaled down version of the BM gifts. I wouldn't get them jewelery. Maybe a frame with 2 cutouts, one for the reading and one for a picture of you and them?

I am just getting gofts for the male half of the bridal party. I am paying for my girls dresses so that's is their gift.

our readers(family members) are getting corsages/bouteneere.. and a frame(For an 5x7)... nothing expensive, maybe $15
