Okay, I know I have plenty of time, BUT... who exactly gets invited to the RD???
Just Bridal Party?
If some of my BP is married, do they get invited with spouses???
If they are in serious relationships/engaged, do they get to bring the other along???
OR do I only invite those who are married/engaged and not the others???
Do the Readers get invited??
Yes today is my day of questions!

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
We only invited our parents and the people in the bridal party. If we invited bridal party spouses, our list would have doubled along with the bill. All the weddings I have ever been to,have just been the parents and the bridal party.

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
NOVEMBERBRIDE,
I have a pretty large BP... did you find that people understood why it was just them invited? I don't want to have people talk about me behind my back, ya know?

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
Lauren- I invited everyone with a date but my bridal party wasn't as large as yours was. I have been to some where I was not invited with a date and didn't mind at all. It was kind of a more fun bonding experience either. I have also went to one alone (where I was MOH) because I could devote my attention to the couple/affair rather than have to worry about my other (which most of the other girls did).
Most of our bridal party was married or engaged so I really had no choice. Only my youngest brother and two readers weren't serious involved with someone and didn't bring a date - which was appreciated.

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
In all the weddings we have been to,nobody ever invited the bridal parties significant others. I would love to have invited them but that would have doubled the amount of people and that would have cost a lot of money on top of everything else. Nobody ever complained to us & if they did,I would have told them it was a money issue. I don't see the need to have everyone there for that especially if you don't have the extra money.
edited to say:We had 11 people in our bridal party so it would have been a lot more money to invite spouses.

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
I've never been to a rehersal dinner where my date wasn't also invited. That'd be especially tough on those coming from out of town.
We invited: bridal party & dates/spouses readers parents those 'presenting the gifts' out of town guests (most declined since they were only getting in that night)
I think we had 35-40 people. Not bad considering our bridal party was 6 girls and 5 guys.

Re: WHO gets invited to RD????
Well I wouldn't ask them... if I were you, I'd mention it to your FH... just ask him, what's going on for the RD? How is it going to be handled? I don't think you can just come out and ask your FIL's... Hope you find your answer though
