BM and MOH

So if I have 3 bridesmaids, no maid of honor, they will likely all give toasts?

all of them or you can pick 1 to give a speech.
You can pick who you want to say the blessings.

I think, especially in today's times, there is no set standard of who must give the speech at the wedding. I know parents of bride and groom usually do and the bride and groom can make a small 'thank you' speech-- but if you don't have a MOH you can have one BM who knows you best or is special to you give a speech or not have any of the BM give a speech or have all of them give a really short speech (since there are three) or a combination speech between all of them or two of them... I think anything works!

I think the blessing is more if you invite the priest/rabbi or other officiant to the ceremony. at my brother's wedding, we had the priest there because he is a family friend so he did the blessing. at my friends wedding last weekend, they were married by a judge, so there was no blessing. at my cousins wedding, the bride's father did the blessing. i guess it's all a matter of personal preference, but it's not something that must be done.

A blessing is normally done by a holy man, like a priest or rabbi. It's just a short prayer over the food and couple.

Usually the best man and the MOH do toasts. If you don't have an MOH, maybe you can ask your BMs who would like to do it.

I think I understand the blessing now. One of my dj forms asked for the name of who was giving the blessing and the toasts which prompted this question!

The Maid of honor and best man. We had my dad give a blessing instead of a priest or rabbi. It was really nice.

Whoever you want to give a toast can give a toast... or whoever would like to. DH had two best men (his dad and his brother) so they both spoke, along with my MOH. Then my dad stood up and wanted to thank everyone for coming and he ended up giving the most beautiful speech as well! Sometimes the unexpected moments are the best ones!
