Oh Lord how I remember Stiff Stuff and Aqua Net!!! You were not allowed in the confines of my high school (all girls) if you did not carry one or the other in your bookbag. Remember mirrors in the locker, so you could make sure hair was 'poofy' enough?

I used to look like an oscilating fan - I had the 'all over' big. I used to hate getting into the car because the top of my head would get crushed. And dear lord, when it rained, you had this falling sheet of hair covered in goo - it would look like a sticky ice rink on the back and sides of your head. What a mess.
I still love big hair and wish I could get away with it now (without looking like a Texas waitress or something...![]()

Didn't you just get pissed when you sat in the backseat of the car while crusing DPA, The Pike or Fanny Lou? Those were the nights when you needed the industrial strength glue in your hair or else you had this one section flapping in the breeze from the window being down. When you stopped to talk to the guys, you'd have this flat flap of hair hanging to the sides, boy that really $ucked!! ![]()

actually I think you look great in that pic!!!
I gotta say I held onto the big hair thing a little longer than I should have .. I loved my big hair. When the straight and flat hair came into style, I was NOT happy (I still think I look a little better with a little 'POOF')
I'd try to post my pics from HS, but I'm at work .. maybe later ... if my hair isn't too big in the pic that I have to RESIZE it!

Yup, me too. MY hair was all one length and straight, much to the dismay of my best friend and MOH who wore hers about 3 feet off her head.

I tried...but I was too shy to get it too high - didn't want to call too much attention to myself.
But I do remember going througha 'mullet phase'! It was suppoed to be wings but I never figured out how to get them to look right!![]()

I have a brother who is 8 and a half years older then me. So when I was in elementary school he was in high school. All his friends would come over and I always wanted to be like them so YES I had big hair but I was in Elementary school. Big hair was great I miss the 80's!!!!
