I was thinking about getting a diamond band (which I am in the process of waiting for) and a plain plat. band (it's just getting so expensive!) Anyone just having 1 or 2 bands?

I have only a plain band, no diamonds. I just love the simplicity of it next to my solitaire ring, plus this way I can get married in my ring (in a Jewish ceremony you can't have stones in your ring). So I can't vote in your poll.

FH said its up to me...yet I just got a diamond band...I figure being a teacher I could wear it everyday...maybe for our first anniversary I'd get a platinum band

I got married in two bands. One diamond eternity band (not huge) and the other is a carved white gold band, which we had engraved. Both match equally well with my engagement ring.
I wanted the gold one for 'when I mow the lawn'. I wear both 95% of the time (the diamond one with my e-ring, the gold one on my right hand). I wear only the gold one (without my e-ring) when I garden, go for a manicure, am doing home improvement projects, do heavy cleaning, move heavy things or a lot of things...
My diamond rings are insured, but I don't take any chances. My gold ring is just as sentimental as the others, but would only cost me $100 to replace.

Im with you on this one. I have a plain platinum band. It makes my e-ring stand out a lot more not to mention that my side stones are rather large so I dont need it right now. DH knows I want an either an eternity band or 2 very skinny diamond 'washer bands' - one to go on either side of my plain band. My SIL has them and they are awesome.

i have just one band coming my way with diamonds on it...but in recent days i've been considering a plain one to wear to the beach and pool....a really really cheapie one that won't set me back much at all...so that i can look married on the beach without abusing my pretty set...or worrying about it if it falls off.

Same here-just a plain band for me. I preferred the classic look of the plain band and wanted a plain one for various other personal beliefs I hold. But I do enjoy looking at everyone's diamond ones.

I have 4 I wanted a plain one to match my FH & one I just had to have from Fortunoff & One diamond band. Being that I am a QVC Junky I bought one from diamonique for my hony moon and trips.. I am so afraid I will lose it. But I like the sparkle... and if I lose the QVC one I won't be upset. Does everyone think I am nuts?

I'm not, but my mom actually has two bands. She has one with diamonds that she wears most of the time, but if she goes to the beach she wears a plain gold band. She actually got it when she had my older sister...Her original band has diamonds in it, and (not to be graphic, but it's the truth) she said she got baby poop in it one too many times (apparently it's a pain in the a$$ to clean it out of the prongs). When I was a kid, she only ever wore the gold band. She would only wear her engagement ring and original band when she went out...

i've got two that i will wear everyday -- one diamond eternity band and one plain white gold band (need to get married in something plain.)
My e-ring is a pear so I won't be able to wear it on the same hand as my wedding band so I thought the two bands would look good together. I got that idea from a jeweler and love it!

1 - its has diamonds, but is not extravagant. I do plan on gettng a plain silver band for the HM, but won't wear it after that. IMHO, I don't see the point of spending thousands on a ring that I will only wear on 'special occasions'. Again, thats my opinion, I hope no one takes offense.

I have 2. I have an eternity band I wear with my e-ring. I do wear this every day, but I also have a plain band that matches DH's that i wear while cleaning, on vacation (island vacations; don't want to worry about my rings)....etc. I am happy I have 2.
