Who has had multiple miscarriages in a row? Please come in!
Hi there. Did you get testing? Would you mind sharing what the end result was. I hd two in a row (TTC number 1) and I am going for testing. The doc said it could be another stroke of bad luck and that it's common but it won't hurt to do testing as you never know. Any insight would be great. I am so nervous I have poor quality eggs that will always result in a chromosome problem and then if that is the case, I can never carry a baby to term. I have lost both at around 6 wks. One was almost 7. First one no heartbeat. 2nd one had a hearbeat so I thought this was it, baby on the way and bam, heartbeat stopped at 6.5 wks Thanks for your feedback, if any. If not, thanks for listening.

I haven't had any personal experience with miscarriages but my mom had a few- and i came out okay! My mom's best friend had 5 or 6 and she had healthy daughter too. I'm sure you will have a healthy baby very soon- modern medicine is doing so many good things with fertility! I'm sorry you are going through all of this- my heart goes out to you!

A good friend of mine suffered from 2 miscarriages in a row the 1st at 7 weeks and the 2nd at 4 or 5 weeks I believe. She found out after she had a blood clotting disorder.(Something about her blood clotting off preventing circulation going to the placenta, hence her miscarriage) She was put on medications to thin her blood. She is now pg again and in her 12th week. I'm praying real hard for her that this time it will take!

I have had multiples as well, 5 to be exact. Three were in the 8-11 week period and needed D&C's..one was chemical and the other I let go naturally becuase it was only 5 weeks.
It was so heartbreaking, because we saw the baby and the heartbeat, then the following week..BAM..nothing..it is so devastating.
We have had every test and it comes back as unexplained infertility
I have an appt with Dr. San Roman next week, he is my last shot, if God forbid i get pg and miscarry again I am done.. Mentally I do not think I can handle anymore

I am so sorry to hear about your many loses (for both of you). I am going to go for testing and I don't know which is worse, knowing there is a problem or hearing nothing is wrong. I mean you had 5 and the tests came back fine. It's just crazy. I hope it happens for you both. They took lots of blood for the tests, right? What else did they do? Thanks.

Re: Who has had multiple miscarriages in a row? Please come in!
Hi, there, I think I can be of some help.
I also had two miscarriages in a row. One in March, and one in July. Both at 6.5 weeks. My Dr. said I should wait and try again before getting tested. I decided against that advice and went to a specialist. They tested me for everything under the sun. It turns out my blood clots (same as above), so I just needed to take a baby asprin every day. Also I had a folic acid deficientcy. It was a gene mutation that caused my body not to produce enough folic acid. However, one month of extra folic acid and baby asprin, I got preggo again. And I am now 10.5 weeks and doing great! Just real sick! But that is a good sign.
I strongly urge you to go get testing done. Its so easy, just a lot of blood tests for you and one or two vials of DH. If you would like I will give you the name of the specialist i go to, he is GREAT!
Please let me know. You are in my thoughts!

Denise, thank you so much! Your story is very encouraging and I am so happy for you. I hope you continue to do well during your pregnancy. Everyone around me is pregnant so it's hard but I am happy for them (just want to be happy for dh and me too). I am going for testing this month. My doc advised me to get the testing before trying again. Who is the specialist you use? - you can forum mail me if you prefer. Again, good luck to you, that is such great news!

Re: Who has had multiple miscarriages in a row? Please come in!
I had a stillborn at 28 weeks 7 years ago and then a Misscarriage at 10 weeks 4 years ago...So I guess two in a row. I had an autopsy done on my little girl and then testing on the misscarriage....nothing conclusive. I'm now high risk, but the dr's feel both were seperate issues, bad luck so to speak.
A friend of mine at work had two mc's within 7 months and now shes due in 2 weeks with a healthy baby so its all a matter of luck a lot of the time when they cannot find anything wrong.
SO not get discouraged if they say they find nothing, its more common to NOT have a reason. It's scary, I KNOW...But it will happen when the time is right. Its just so frightening to 'not know' a reason, and what it all means.

A friend's sister had 6 m/c..all within the first trimester...she was heartbroken. He and her husband adopted a baby girl and 6 months later she was pregnant...they were all shocked. She gave birth to a happy, healthy baby boy.....10 months later she was pregnant again...and recently had a healthy baby girl.
I hope that gives you hope as well. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

oh my goodness michelle! I am sorry she had such heartache in the beginning but that all turned out so wonderfully. I guess whatever is meant to be will be. Thanks for posting this sad story that had a great ending Did she have anything wrong that caused six m/c?
