Who has made their own card box in the shape of a cake?
How did you do it? Was it worth it? Did it save you a significant amount of money by DIYing it instead of purchasing it from FTMB or just a few bucks?

my sister made her own card box in the shape of a cake and then used fabric for the outside of it and i helped her with it.. it is actually very affordable when it comes down to it. and it gives a creative touch to what you are doing for your wedding and its your own!! plus you can make it any color and shape any design.
all you need is cardboard boxes, fabric, hot glue gun and then any ribbons or anything else you need to do it.. plus you can do it any time you want!

I was going to try to do that but I found a plain one in micheals and just decorated it and that alone took 6 hrs! ..if your set on the cake thing try getting hat boxes from Micheal's or any craft store and stack them wrap them first maybe and cut a hole for the cards before that? lol I don't know why I'm going backwards haha
