Well have you noticed how the new Travelocity commercials are a direct COPY of some of the scenes in that movie? The scenes when her father's garden gnome gets mailed all over the world? I couldn't believe it when I saw it!! I hope they got permission from the Director!!!

I've always wanted to see it but haven't yet. Is it in French with English subtitles?

My SIL LOVES that movie. I have to borrow her DVD. She has been telling me to watch it for awhile now. Does it get annoying reading all the subtitles?

Re: Who has seen Amelie?
Actually, there was a story on channel 11 a few weeks ago about someone who stole a lawn gnome and has been sending the owner pictures of it in different places. And the whole time the they were telling the story, the newscaster was saying, 'I think there was a story like this a few years ago, I could swear there was!' I wanted to write to tell them, uh, NO, it's from Amelie! Which, happens to be my favorite movie

That movie was so funny! DH and I joke that we must buy a gnome for our house since we saw that movie.
