I am DARK naturally...

I get a root done and then highlights..

So I am blonde on blonde but the past few times she would say I don't want to DP your root so it doenst come up as light as I wanted and has some rediish tint to it.......

I just told her I want BLEACH my roots.. Then put a toner then in a few weeks I will hightlight on top...

She is giving me a song and dance. WHY!

perhaps because she'll need to do an extra step? to DP is a lengthy process.. That's what I had done (although I'm naturally a dark blonde/light brown haired goil)

I'm having the same problem! I recently decided that I will switch to a new salon, because I HATE the reddish tint and it annoyed me because when I was there, she was all ' you look wonderful! Great color' Then I saw it and
She keeps complaining about healthy hair, breakage, blah blah. My hair is thick naturally and looks very healthy,so i decided I want someone with more coloring and less advice.

Hmmmm....not sure exactly but I do know that I only go very very blond in the summer since he has to completely strip my hair with bleach and its very damaging to your hair. Perhaps she is just giving your hair a rest so as to not have breakage etc? Its been a really cold, dry winter which makes it worse. I would think bleach on you roots woudl still have color contrast to the higlights on the rest of your hair and may look strange???

Have you asked her for an explanation?

I am glad someone shares my feelings. I was beginning to think I was being to neurotic Are you going to keep going to your salon? I like the girls there and the actual place, but I feel like maybe the Red Door Salon could do better and I don't want to take e-pics with hair color I don;t like.

Red Door will charge me 300 +++ to do what I want and I don't like how snotty they are GOD DAMN they are doing MY Hair and they are so upppty.....

Anyway.. I told her. This is what I want.. I don't want to hear what you have to say...

I hate when they give you a song and a dance about what YOU want done to YOUR hair.

I color mine now but I don't get it stripped (and I do have red highlights in it)

I have VERY thin hair and it's already all broken and I'm afraid of what would happen.

Just a word of caution ladies about going completely blond when you have dark brown hair. My good friend used to do this, and her hair was so damaged that she almost LOST all of it. The girl at the salon was using bleach on it. After a while her hair started to look like straw. My friend went in to do a photo shoot and the hairstylist there did not want to touch her hair, and gave her the name of a stylist in the city. The stylist in NYC told my friend that she seriously could have a lawsuit on her hands. This other stylist was damaging her hair to the point where it was unsafe to dye anymore. He dyed her hair back to brown, and told her that she couldn't dye her hair anymore for at least two years so that all the damaged hair could grow out on it's own. Her hair now looks wonderful and vibrant again.

That is why they are giving you a song and dance. They don't want your hair to fall out and become like straw. Even if YOU think your hair looks fine and is healthy, it may not be.

I would suggest finding a new colorist or at least a consultation with one.

I used to dye my hair blonde & it go damaged after a while & broke alot.
I am now back to my natural color and it is so shiny & healthy I love it & get many compliements on how healthy & shiny & how much better it looks.

First off my hair is long.. Touches my elbows..

Ask Marcella I saw her in Fortunoff..

My hair is very healthy and doesn't break I am very on top of taking good care of it..

My lady is a pain.. I finally said I AM PAYING WACKO why do I tell you what to do..

march 1st.. No way.. I can't have roots longer then a week.. UGH!
