we took one lesson to dance to our 1st song but were supposed to take a 2nd lesson but didn't have time. now i don't know if we should do our ballroom dance steps or just dance normal.

We are dancing normal to 1st and we might be doing a waltz after that. I would say try it out. Practice it at home first. If it works with your song and it comes naturally, do the steps. Otherwise, just dance normal because you don't want to ruin the mood of your 1st dance by counting steps in your head!

We intend on dancing ballroom-style for our first dance. I suppose the style depends on our song. I don't think it's necessary, it's all a matter of preference.
What about renting a How-To tape? Since you already took a class, this would be like a refresher course - if you were set on the ballroom-style for your first dance.

I really want to ..We are horrible dancers, so it would be fun to actually know what we're doing.. I mean we step on eachothers feet... I do not want him steppin on my gown.. We are planning on taking a class.. Hopefully FH go through with it..lol..

We did a choreographed dance for our first dance together, it was so fun taking the lessons together and surprising our guests that night with the dance. I loved that we did it.
both of us pushed ourselves to get there...literally running home just to run to the studio...but it was well worth it...many many people commented...

We are taking lessons now and we intend on doing something choreographed. We both love the lessons and as Yabbobay mentioned, we too run home from work excited to go dance. It really helps feel closer to each other in a rhythmic musical way.

Ummm, I didn't have to convince my FH,
HE called ME at work one day and told me that he had booked a lesson for us so we could 'look good' for our first dance.
