Who is doing the duo/combo w/poll

We decided to do the duo, the Mozzarella and Prosciutto over the salad.

It's the 'new thing' that supposedly the guests enjoy because it gives them more time to mingle and dance, as opposed to 20 minutes in between the traditional app and then salad, and it looks more 'wow' since its 2 courses served as one.

But now I am having second thoughts, thinking I may want the more traditional app and then the goat cheese walnut salad (I love that rasberry vinegarette)

Which , as a guest would you prefer or which did you do??

I chose the separate courses even though the duo course was soooooooo good at my tasting!!
I love to eat, so I wanted as many courses as possible even though I probably won't get to eat on my day, lol

I love to dance, so as a guest, the less time I need to be sitting at the table, the better LOL! We chose the app/salad duet for our wedding for that same reason.

We're just skipping the appetizer at the table. They will have just come from loads of food at the cocktail hour, so why overdo it? Saved us a bunch! Do you think people will be put out?

We did the combo and glad we did - it really left more time for dancing, our party got started right away. most people didn't eat it anyway because they just ate so much at the cocktail hour.

IMO, the combo is the way to go

I'm doing the traditional appetizer and salad separately, but I wouldn't mind them together. I like the idea, I just never even thought of it.

We are doing the duo/combo. We just liked the choices better for that and my family loves to dance so it works best for us. We also get the intermezzo as well for the cleansing of the palette.

I kinda forgot about that but I remembering seeing that when choosing a place in February. We will be picking the menu soon so will give it some thought. I remember one place mentioned crabcake over the salad...... One thing I definitely want to do is the intermezzo to clean the palate after all the yummy passed hordoerves at the cocktail hour!

I think we are going to do the combo, only because we were also given a pasta dish.

I did it separate, I thought ppl might stil be too full from CH. But you bring up a very good point about having more dancing time so that option is great

I've decided on the combo for the reason you said. I figure that the amount of time it would take to clear the appetizers, serve the salad, eat the salad and then clear it off would be a waste of our precious party time! lol I want more time to dance and mingle, rather than sitting and eating.

We just finalized our menu today! The combo... especially since they threw in a pasta course, it would be wayyy too much food!
