for Music.. FH and i cant seem to agree. We want to do a combo bc we like band but i also like DJ. So we want a combo. Of course what i like..he doenst. great!

We are using Stan Wiest. His band is playing live and using CDs. We have been able to choose how we want each song played.
Your other choice is the DJ Live thing, where they bring a drummer or something.

FM!
I really liked FM, they were so willing to accommodate us, while we were selecting the MC. We didnt think Frank would be available to us b/c he had a wedding before us and they had a special showcase just for us with two other MC's just so we can make our selection.
In the end Frank was able to make it to our wedding, but really enjoyed working with them. They are really professional. And Deirdre is so nice!

if you cant afford both a band and a DJ maybe you can get a DJ and a percussionist? i think they might have other musicians that can play along with the DJ as well.....we are having a drummer/percussionist with our DJ - it gives a little something extra

Thats what we are doing too! Ask to see a video of one, we were so impressed!!! Howie Bongo is amazing!

We are using Long Island Sound and we got the percussionist.
We are using Bravura and they offer (for a price) a live singer as well if you are interested. It gives it that live music feel on some songs but you still have the flexiblity of going back and forth-- that way you both win! HTH
