Who is getting married at the hall?
If you are, and hired a minister/priest/rabbi aside from the church/synagouge they charge you a fee let's say between $400-$500, and they are taking that not donating it should you tip them as well??

I'm not planning on tipping them. I feel like they're making more than enough money for 20 minutes of service.
I had a judge, his fee was $300 and that is all we gave him, no tip.
my revrend told us that shew usually gets between x and y but we should give her whatever we feel it is worth --- i think that is a great way to do it - we are actually giving her a bit more cause she has been so great - and we invited her and her husband to the reception
The Judge we are using is a family friend of my family and we are going to give him a Gift Certificate only cause I know that he will not except money from us plus him and his wife are also invited to the wedding!!
Thanks ladies, so I guess the money he wanted that goes in his pocket should be enough, I don't know him, he was recommened but I have only met him once in the year I have had him booked.
We've had ours since November and we haven't even met them yet. I keep calling and the Rev. tells me to call back in a few months. He said we'll set up a meeting after the school year, so we'll probably only see him once, maybe twice before the wedding.
DH wanted a friend of a friend that lived in CA, so we flew him and his wife and put them up in the hotel for 4 nights. They came to our RD and they came to the wedding. We also paid him $200 for performing our service...so all in all our Pastor cost us about $1400. It was well worth it because he performed the most beautiful ceremony!
