Who is going to Costa Rica for HM?

We are thinking of staying in Arenal, Manuel Antonio and maybe Playa Conchal. Not sure yet. There are some awesome, awesome, awesome hotels. Check out tripadvisor.com--it's so helpful.

Meeeee!! Staying at the Tabacon. Rates are on the website depending on the room category. I don't know how much for our stay off hand bc were staying there then also going to riviera maya, so I don't know the break down. Sorry buuutttt its a GORGEOUS resort. Surrounded but rainforest, natural hot springs, and volcano. Check out the website!

Yes the Arenal Nayara does seem great and it has awsome reviews. They offer some packages that you can see on their website that are good. And they offer transportation from the San Jose Airport.

Exploradora outdoors also is highly recommended on many travel boards. You can book directly through them www.exploradoresoutdoors.com but we used Marina the travel experta to book all our reservations and she passed along a small discount. What is great about the rafting trip is that they will drop you off at your destination at the end so it provides all your transportation needs. I am a little nervous about the water being too rough and me falling out of the boat but I heard when or if that happens they get you back in the boat fairly quick!!

We just booked Costa Rica... 8 Nights... Flying into San Jose, staying 2 nights at the Monteverde Lodge, taking a shuttle and boat up to Nayara in Arenal for 3 nights then over to Paradisus in Guanacoste for 3 nights and flying out from Liberia...
I know its alot of jumping around but we want to see the country and have heard that after a night or two at each location, that we will be ready to move on to the next.
Paradisus is an all inclusive resort so we saved that for the end to unwind and relax before heading home...

this is a very unique vacation idea and perfect for a honeymoon.

you fly into liberia they pick you up. you get transported to the most amazing location. you get a private house with a pool and a golf cart you can drive around, plus your own private chef! and a maid. your chef cooks all your meals and snacks for you daily.

they also arrange day trips we took one to nicaragua and it was amazing

Lucky Ladies - Costa Rica is my favorite place in the world. It's relatively cheap there. If you want a quick/cheap eat, go to a 'soda' which is like the equivalent of a diner...very homey food.

If you're going to Arenal, a reasonable and casual place to eat is La Choza de Laurel.

If you're traveling to more than once city, we used
this company for private transportation. Their rates are on their website and they were reliable.
