I know it's a LONG TIME away but I am kind a curious who is thinking of entering the contest when it comes up to be apart of the WOTY bridal party?
For two years I have been waiting for the 08'ers turn and I think by November they start the process of taking in pics/bio's of people who wish to be apart of it. I know I am entering DH and I but I know we have STIFF competition.

i was thinking about this too.....we'll probably enter when the time rolls around......although i haven't mentioned it to DH yet

Dh went to two WOTY with me and he said he is fine doing it - i think he actually can't wait to do it. He was mad that he didn't win the tv last year and he was so close IoI
In November they ask you to write a bio and send pis and then I really don't know what happens after that. The LIW team I guess picks who they thing will work well for the event.
Edited: I am asking the newlyweds who participated how it official runs so I will post info as I get it.

we had a great time last year - we def want to enter to be a part of it, it looked the 07 girls and their DHs had a blast

Wedding of the year = a wedding put on by the staff of LI Weddings for vendors to participate and showcase their work at a 'wedding.' They pick a bride and groom and a wedding party from the previous years brides and let them all get dressed up and do a mock wedding for people to see and get ideas from. Its setup like a real wedding: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, dessert. The bride has the biggest benefit of wearing her dress again if she chooses otherwise she can get another gown to wear that day to model (sample gown). BM's get dresses (samples) to wear as well and dh's wear tuxes.
If you participate you get a lot of perks and plus you usually work with the best of the best photographers and videographers.

Yes I found it so helpful to plan our wedding and it has helped me give suggestions to my friends with their weddings. I actually hope one of my friends joins for the 09 brides so she can go with us this year.
The date is always in Jan around the 19th i think (you can tell I think about this a lot) IoI.
