Who is having their ceremony at the reception hall?

Original post by winkkey

We are going to have our ceremony at the reception hall (Leonard's of Great Neck). We thought we would do it that way as we want everyone to be at the ceremony.....from attending weddings we found not too many people go to the church.

Anyone else having their ceremony at the hall?

i am getting married at the hall also. but i have to decorate. which i don't mind.

the hall also isn't chargeing us for having the cermony there. which is a plus but i guess since we have to decorate ourselves it might just even out.

I must say that friend of mine got married at Leomards last June and they did a beautiful job....you have nothing toworry about.

Leonard's decorated or your friend had someone do it? I am going crazy thinking about how I want to decorate. I was thinking about candles then I thought I would use my centerpieces.

I am really not too sure of all the details but they did use their house florist for decoration but my friend also hired a florist maybe for her personals and CPs for her actual reception.

Me too. The ceremony will be outside right next to the water.

We're getting married at our RH. I figured it would be so much easier for us and our guests. Our RH is on the water and makes such a perfect setting

I can't wait to see your pictures!!

I'm having mine at the hall as well....and it's LEONARD'S!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only Leonard's bride getting married there!!!! I'm trying to figure out how to decorate the indoor room!!! Any suggestions?

I am so glad I have someone to bounce ideas off of !!
I saw a beautiful picture on here of candles along the aisle, I was thinking of doing something like that or just using the centerpieces. The candles are so pretty but I am a little nervous as I am having 2 flower girls ages 1 and 3...I don't want them getting hurt.

Did Leonard's say anything to you about food tasting? I should have asked that when I booked but I was so excited it slipped my mind. I am going to call and ask if I can see the ceremony and reception room when they are all decorated so I can get some ideas.

We are getting married at our hall. It's easier for us because he is a Protestant, and I am Catholic.
To avoid any family strife, about which church we should be married in, we are doing it at the hall.

My Dad who is a reverend is going to give me away, and then step behind the altar and Marry us!

Neither family has a problem with that, and my Dad is honored that I asked him to marry us, and I know I will be crying the whole time!
