Sometimes the more eyes looking for you the better.

So who is actively house hunting and what areas are you looking in???

we have been actively looking for about 5 months in the northport/fort salonga area.

i am EXTREMELY picky, so i have a feeling it might take some time to find the 'perfect' home.

We're looking in the Huntington/Greenlawn/Northport/East Northport areas. I'm just starting to actively look again - we started before the wedding and decided to hold off until fall/winter.

DH and I are house hunting. We are looking in Selden. And don't laugh, but we are looking for a house 250K and less and don't say it doesn't exist because we looked at three already. (sorry, I get defensive because everyone we tell laughs and tells us we'll never find one). So if anyone hears or sees anything let me know!!

there are homes out there in your price range people are so rude to tell you otherwise. my cousin just bought a home in that price a couple of months ago but you have to be willing to live further out in suffolk most of the time. my cousins house is shirley. when i was looking since dh works in brooklyn we knew we were stuck to a certain area and was going to pay more.

I saw plenty too. I was looking in Centereach, Selden, Lake Ronkonkoma, Pt. Jeff. Station.
Let me know if you want my real estate agents name. She was so helpful. We got the new listings everyday and appointments that same day to see the houses. In that price range they are sold really fast. She lives in the area and knows it really well. We ended up in Centereach for just under $300K.

I'm always looking! I want to stay in Islip and even have it narrowed down to specific streets, so I know we'll have to be patient for the right one.

Kel, I grew up in Commack and there is a house across from my parent's house for sale. It is either on Sioux Drive or Wicks Path. The houses over there are high ranches with at least 4 bedrooms and large front and back yards.

In about May-June we will start looking in Ronkonkoma/Lake Ronkonkoma, possibly Oakdale too.

We are also in the less than 300k group. It's tough! They all seem to need lots of TLC.
