I would like to offer my personal assistance to every bride on this board that is thinking about moving their registry, has moved their registry, is having out of stock or discontinued items issues. we appreciate your response on this.. but hoenstly, i dont see how you are going to make things right..

for most of us half our items are on special order, our fmaily and friends will go to the store to purchase us gifts they can not get or recieve in time. $I know I always go shopping last minute for a gift, if my family does the same, they will not be able to purchase something in time. Me calling you will most likely not clear up this issue

i had my shower already so its too late but yeah alot of ppl told me how they wanted to get me something from fortunoff and everything was on special order

i am also annoyed with them bc i am freaking registered there, fh bought his wedding band there yesterday and while he was ordering his, i asked if i can have my ring cleaned and they said NO i know its something small but i just think it was rude and seriously what is the big deal.

OMG, they wouldn't clean your ring! Every time we went to our jeweler to make a payment on our bands FH would ask to have my E-ring cleaned, and they did it every time! That's ridiculous!

I used to work in the jewelry dept in Fortunoff and they would never touch anything that wasn't purchased there. Probably bc if they damaged it somehow, they couldn't replace it and they just didn't want to deal. But if you did buy it from there, that's just absolutely obnoxious!!!

I had no idea there were all these problems. My wedding isnt untill Nov. n my shower a little before. But all you girls hae gotten me scared I dont want there to be any problems, I have to think about moving my registry too. What a pain, but I guess it could be fun again, for a 2nd time. Fortunoff Update:

I just wanted to let you know that the special order status is related to an issue online, not in our stores. Many of the items that are marked 'special order' online are available for purchase at Westbury or via our 1-800-Fortunoff phone order center.

I know this is very frustrating and extremely inconvenient for you and your guests. We want to fix this!

I am also following up with the Store Manager at Westbury on the ring cleaning posts. I would be annoyed as well - this is not the type of service you would expect from Fortunoff.

i first registered at Fortunoff but switched everything over to BBB and opened a Macy's registry for the overflow about 2 weeks after. This was back in July.

A lot of our guests are OOT, and we currently live OOT and there is no Fortunoff nearby. Also, BBB has a better return policy and more people know about the 20% off coupons at BBB.

Our wine fridge from Fortunoff arrived dented but it was too big of a hassle to worry about exchanging it so we just left it as-is.

I feel bad for Fortunoff because I bought my watch there a while ago and they seem to have nice stuff, but I guess I contributed to this mess by switching this summer
