I'm making mine! The mock up pics are in my profile. What style are you looking to do/what kind of questions do you have? I'd love to help if I can!

Oh, and so far all the paper cost about $30, plus ink and envelopes (not purchased yet). I'm making 100 (but will probably have enough paper to make a bit more than that)

i made extremely simple invitations (they're in my 'my wedding' album if you wanna see) and they cost about $1 each.
DIY pocketfolds cost around $4-7, depending on how many inserts, and how mcuh bling (if any)

I plan on making my own invites. I found purple invites at Michael's and used my 40% off coupon. For 45 invites, it came out to $26.00.
I want to make pocketfolds for them, and have been surfing online for cheap but good quality cardstock.

Re: Who is making their own Invites?!
Hey! We're making our invites completely from scratch and did the same for our STDs.
We'll be spending roughly $1.50 total per invite and that includes: Red 100lb cardstock, vellum on either side (we're doing a English and Chinese side), Red vertical #10 top open envelopes RSVP insert (80# white) White no4 (smallest USPS allowed) envelopes for RSVP and stamps for invite and RSVP
Because I wanted that shade of red in a top open #10 I got my envelopes from Paper Presentation (NYC) but all my card stock came from Paper and more out in CA who have a flat shipping rate of 3.99 I think it was.
I'm not done yet but if you're interested FM me and I can send you a pic when I am!
GL!

Re: Who is making their own Invites?!
I designed my invite on photoshop. I had a 'vision' for my invite and I just was not finding anything I liked to purchase at a reasonable price. We purchased all of our paper from cardsandpockets.com. We ordered 100 invites, 100 envelopes, 100 backing/layering paper, and 75 8.5x11 sheets for RSVP postcards and directions + accomidations. We are having them professionally printed by F & M printed in Hauppauge and I think that will be $140? Also Ihad to buy stuff to stick the two layers together and each invites gets some bling! (7 small, 1 larger).

Same here...I found invites on the Clearance table at AC MOORE, they were $14 a box (50 invites, with response cards and envelopes!) All that's left is the ink to print them...I'm very happy with the decision to do it this way. I personally didn't want to put too much time and energy into something that ends up in people trash afterwards.

Re: Who is making their own Invites?!
mine are in my album ... they ended up costing $3.30 each but that's bc i ran out of time and needed to have them printed instead of printing them myself ... if i printed them myself they would have cost $1.60 each

Re: Who is making their own Invites?!
Mine are coming to about $2 each for pocket folds... I think that's pretty inexpensive
These are just templates. The ink is going to be much darker on the actual invites!
