I'm not and I'm getting flack from people..i'm like I just don't want to do it..the garter cuts off my leg circulation and I never wanted to do the BK toss..I want to tell people to mind the business. LOL..anyone else experience this?

NO but they are like its tradition and you have to have a garter..I'm like I've been to 3 weddings this year and none of them had it..sheesh..whatever..I tell them when you want to pay for my whole wedding then you can say anything you want :)

I check out these boards for advice as well! I am def not doing it! I knew forever that I wouldn't be! I haven't gotten flack--some people actually agree w/ me! Either way, its still not being done!

I haven't gotten any crap for it, and don't really expect to. At FH' Aunts wedding, she didn't do it, and I don' think anyone gave her any problem.
I don't want to do it- there aren't many single people coming, and I know it would REALLY make them uncomfortable.

Don't you love when people give you their advice on what to do at your wedding?!?!? I also refused to do the garter - bo-K toss. I actually used to run out of the reception at other peoples weddings when they did this We did the anniversary dance.

We did not do the toss thing.... not enough single people plus I personally never liked it. We did however do the whole garter removal but then did the anniversary dance. The couple who won was put through the same humiliation but he had to put the garter on her. It was hilarious!!! and everyone loved it. They made my DH strut his stuff from across the room to where I was sitting. Makes for great pictures!!

We're definitely not doing the BoK toss. I haven't talked to FH about it lately, but at one point he really wanted to do the garter, but I don't want to. There won't be very many single guys out there anyway.

i didn't do it but i also had only about 3-4 singles at my wedding so it didn't make sense. i gave my bok to my mom since she couldn't be there with us

We didn't do either. When I told my single friends that I wasn't doing it, they all thanked me.
I did, however, present my throwaway bouquet (it was really nice) to my grandmother since her birthday was the next day.

We are definitely NOT tossing the bouquet or doing the garter thing!
Two weeks ago I was at a wedding where they did the anniversary dance. It was such a nice touch. After the couple 'won' the bride handed the woman the bouquet and took the gentleman on the dance floor for a quick dance. It was so nice.
I think it's much classier than the other.
btw: I have 3 single friends coming and they would KILL me! LOL
