I am probably not. I like the fact that if its just a card it wont be taking up room on the dinner table once people go to their seats. people will either stick it in their pocket or throw it out once they know what table they are at. I dont want anything else 'extra' on the tables so that they are or look cluttered.

WE ARE ! I AM TYING THE PLACE CARD AROUND THE NECK WITH A PIECE OF RAFFIA.
I'm probably not going to waste the money. I was trying to come up with a creative DIY, but i dont care anymore about placecards. IMO not a major deal. I'll probably buy cards (or make them) and handwrite them.
My moh made mine i bought pine cones off of ebay and she dipped them in gold glitter for me THEY LOOK AWESOME and only cost 30 bucks for 100 pine cones
