I know times have changed and so have the traditions of who pays for what. Just curious about who is paying for what regarding your wedding. In my case, my parents are paying for their guests at the reception, everything related to my dress, and they made the deposit for the flowers. FMIL is paying for the honeymoon (considered our wedding gift), the rehersal dinner, her guests at the reception, and the balance of the flowers. My mom, FMIL, and my sister (also my MOH) are paying for the shower from what I have heard. FH and I are paying for our guests at the reception and the rest of the vendors. Just curious how most of you worked things out.

My parent's gave me half of my wedding money(each child including my brother got the same amount) to put towards my downpayment on my condo 2 years ago. The other half is going to my wedding. My FH and I splitting the rest of the wedding expenses(about 12,000 each) His mom is giving us a monetary wedding present and has no involvement with the wedding, Thank God!
I know how fortunate I am. My parents are the greatest.

WOW very interesting that the grooms parents yielded a big fat ZERO!
FH and I are paying for everything except my mom is paying for my dress and everything that goes with my attire (veil, headpiece, shoes, etc).
My dad has also given a small contribution....Angelbear we are going to be neighbors in the cardboard boxes!
