My parents made us a deal...they are giving us X amount of money and whatever we don't spend they will give us towards our nest egg.

A little bit of everyone...us, my parents, and FILs!

Re: Who is paying for your wedding??

I can't vote because it's a combination of FH's parents and FH & I. My family is not contributing at all. FH's parents are allowing us to charge up to a certain amount on their credit card and it's like a use it or lose it situation. FH & I set a budget beyond that. My mother's contribution is that she's talking about throwing me a shower but complaining about it the whole time so I told her she doesn't have to. Hope this helps!

FH and I are paying for it 99% on our own. My mother, however, has paid for my gown, veil, shoes, etc. She also is paying for flowers and favors.

FILs - so far nothing.

We are very lucky that his parents are throwing us thr wedding.

Not only do I have an amazing FH, but the FIL's are even MORE amazing.

my parents are giving us X amount of dollars (almost covering the hall) and FH and I are paying for all the vendors and extras. FH's parents are paying for the RD

FH and I are very fortunate.

My parents are paying for the wedding. When my sisters and I were born, my parents started bank accounts for each of us for wedding funds. So that's been accumulating for 26 years.

My dad paid for our e-party, my mom is paying for my gown, veil, shoes, DOJ, etc.

FH's parents are paying for the honeymoon and are hosting the RD.

FH and I are paying for random things like little accessories and details (i.e. matchbooks, napkins) as well as BP gifts and parent gifts.

For the wedding FH and I. However, both parents will be given us money for the down deposit on the house.

We are all paying for it. FH and I are paying for the hall and probably the DJ, his parents are paying for the flowers and limos and his stuff, my parents are paying for the photographer, invitations, and my dress. I know there is more, but that is what we have discussed so far.

FH and I are paying for everything in it's entirety. We wanted to pay for the wedding so that we could do and have anything and everything we wanted without having to be beholding to anyone.

Re: Who is paying for your wedding??

Our parents are paying for the big stuff (vendors and venues) and we're paying for our personal things (dress, groom's tux, DOC, DOJ, etc. etc). It's a mixture of everyone contributing, but our parents are the big contributor's.

Mostly FH and I (85%). Although, my parents are paying for half the photographer, half my dress and the flowers...and they will be pitching in when we really need help. The economy kinda hit them hard
