Who is saving there cake to eat at there one yr anniversary?

I plan to. I did also hear a bride on here mention the idea of cutting the cake into 12 slices and having a piece a month for the first year. Just another idea..

We are... but I just realized we may not be able to enjoy it on our one year as we are moving overseas 6 months after the wedding. I love the 12 slices idea!!

I dont think I am. It will take too much space in the freezer and I heard it doesnt taste good after a yr of being in the freezer LOL
I will take some home after the wedding or like the above poster save a few pieces for each month so we can enjoy it LOL

Crashing....I saved the cake...we ate it today on our 1yr anniversary....I won't lie, it was gross! lol :)

Probably not. I wanted to...Nice tradition... but the thought is gross unless it was an ice cream cake/christmas cake/something with lots of liquer in it for it to stay ok.
I was thinking of ordering a small cake on our anniversary from the same bakery that our venue uses, but I don't like the outside cake lady my venue is using at all, so forget that. She's not pleasant. I know it's harsh but, the sooner she's out of business the better. I don't know why my venue picked her. If I had any hole to pick with my place is that it picked this lady to be the official baker for the wedding cakes there.

We were going to, but our cake baker told us to give him a call next year about a week in advance and he would make a small replica top of the cake for us. I think that's the route we are taking.

I am saving one slice from each tier (all different flavors). We will be having a slice for our 3,6,9 month and 1 year anniversary. Since we know it will get worse over time we will be eating our favorites first!

Not going to lie, probably not the night of the wedding, but the next night in our hotel I bet a million bucks we will crack into that bad boy!!! haha
Definitely not waiting a whole year!!! Will probably go back to our bakery for some red velvet cupcakes though! (our top tier is red velvet :) )

our bakery said to bring in our freezer burned cake and exchange it for a fresh one exactly like it. so stoked for this!!
chocolate cake with peanut butter mouse with nuts and caramel...yum!!!
