Who is singing to FH at wedding????

I am probably going to sing 'The way you look tonight' as sung by Frank Sinatra or At Last by Etta James.

I think if I sang at my wedding, people would leave early!!

That sounds sooo nice though. I was at a wedding last year where the bride (who has a great voice) got up with the band and sang a love song. It was so beautiful, I was tearing up!

Well, I have a terrible voice, so I certainly didn't sing, but DH surprised me by singing 'She's Got A Way' by Billy Joel. It was the most romantic moment. No one knew he was doing it besides the band, so everyone was stunned by his beautiful voice.

I am singing to Adam during our reception, but I'm not saying what because I don't want it to accidentally get back to him. (I was a voice major in college, people won't be leaving early. )

We did not sing at the wedding, but we did sing at the rehersal dinner . We were a hit!!!

I am going to pre-record a song sung by myself and if it sound half way decent I'll ask the DJ to play it. I would be too nervous to do it the day of the wedding. I will be nervous for other reasons, I don't want to add to it.

I was thinking that too. I am affraid I will be so nervous about singing that I would not be able to concentrate on the rest of the day. The best thing about pre-recording it is that you can choose if you want it played and no room for error. I am also affraid I'll get choked up and cry and then I won't be able to sing.

That is exactly why I did not want to sing at the ceremony. I am a professional singer, but on my wedding day I did not want to have to worry about how I sounded. I think the idea of recording something is great!!!

Thought I would share this idea w/ you all, by the way. I can't do this because I am not getting married in a church. My father told me about a friend's wedding he attended. The bride had a stunning voice. When it was her turn to come down the isle, she was up on the balcony of the church instead and she sang to her FH. It was very dramatic and a surprise. Her FH did not know she was going to do this. If I do decide to do this I'm keeping it hush-hush too.

Part of my wedding gift is SUPPOSED to be me singing OUR song to him, but not AT the wedding. I am trying to pre-record it and have it played when they have our first dance...so he'll think it's our song..and it's me!
We are having some technical difficulty....so i'm afraid it won't happen...and I don't think I could make it through the song at our wedding..without balling the WHOLE WAY THROUGh...

OMG - I could NEVER do it ! Just the thought of 250 LOOKING at me that day is stressful enough !
I just sang @ a friend's wedding and hid behind the organist so no one could see me, unfortunately, she printed my name in the program .......embarassing !!!
