Who is walking you down the aisle?

I am torn between my dad and both my parents (who are still together btw).

I like the idea of the traditional choice of just my dad.

But, I can see my mom getting upset if I don't ask them both.

I honestly don't have a strong opinion. What are you girls doing and why?

Wow this topic just made me cry. Both of my parents are deceased so my brother will be walking me down the aisle.

Seriously, it's like the one part of the wedding that stresses me out.

Dad passed away. Mom is a non-spotlight kind of person and REALLY doesn't want to do it.... she's super-traditional.

My dad's brother passed away 2 weeks ago... I have more first cousins than I can shake a stick at. I'm ADAMANT that I want it to stay on my dad's side of the family my mom thinks her BIL or my great-uncle should do it....

Maybe I'll just walk myself which is NOT a brilliant idea.

My Dad that is the only way I want it my mom means the world to me but my dad well I am a daddies girl and I always imagined my dad walking me down the aisle. My mom wants it that way as well.

I think I am going with tradition on this having my dad walk me down. Although they are separated (have been for a very long time) and I spent most of my time with my mother, I don't think she will upset about it. My mom is a 'stick with tradition' type of person.


Same here. I actually asked my mom if she's ok with not walking me down, and she laughed at me asking why I would even think that

I'm having a similar issue. I think I'll just have a GM walk her down and then loop back around to walk with a BM. Then in the recessional she will walk with my dad - even though they are divorced, but I still want them to walk together as my parents.

at my sisters wedding, my dad walked my mom down, since the parents go before the entire bridal party, then he walked to the back of the church and waited to walk my sister......

Our rabbi explained to us that we should have both parent because of something that is said at the baby naming. I am having my mom and step dad.

My dad is walking me down... my mom hinted (and by hinted I mean blatantly told me) she also wanted to walk me down the aisle but then she saw a picture of someone's wedding lwhere they did both and she didn't like that the parents were blocking the bride's dress so she decided that just my dad should... Easy enough!!!

I'm Jewish so both my parents will walk me down...


...technically FH's parents are supposed to walk him down too but I don't see my FILs being into that...

I initially wanted to have both my parents walk me but my mom freaked when I told her and we had an argument over it. My mom sees walking me down the aisle as my dad's moment and so it will be just my dad. I will miss my mom on my other side
