Who is your family inviting to RD?

Who is your family inviting to RD?

Even though groom's parents pay for RD and brunch, don't the bride's family get to invite people too? His family is inviting 63 people to the rehearsal dinner and my side will be inviting 52. Is that kosher?

to a rehearsal dinner...its just supposed to be your bridal party and immediate family

63 + 52 = too too many

wow! Thats alot! I have been to RD's like that though, and they were fun.

Immediate Family, Grandparents on both sides, Bridal Party, Vocalists and Readers = 30 ppl.

What about significant others??

Some of the SO's are family - for example: FH's sister is in my BP but her husband (FH's brother-in-law) is not in the BP, but since he's family should he be invited to the RD? And what about the SO's of friends where we don't know the SO that well? And then there are the wives of FH's GM? Is there a way to draw the line?

I'm just wondering what the etiquette is. SO's would add 5 more people so it is not worth offending enyone if the proper etiquette says they should be invited.

Opinions??
Thanks!

i think people should be invited with guest to the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding. Especially if they are engaged or married.

We are having about 60 people at our rehearsal but that is because there is at least one person from each family involved in the wedding (many of them kids) and i have to invite their parents as well.
