Hmmm I'm sure the officiant can just light it---I'd check with him/her

I would just have the officiant light it before the ceremonty starts.

My mom lit mine and DH's mom lit his after they walked down the aisle. Then we lit the center one together during the ceremony.

Are you going to have all three lit by someone else? Maybe have your moms light the two single candles and then let your officiant light the center one together right when you're about to start?

No, I don't want any of the moms or parents going up to light it, I want the end ones lit and DH and I will light the center one simultaneously - know what I mean?

our moms lit the individual candles passed them to us and then we lit the main candle together. Why don't you want to light it with your FH? Its supposed to be a symbol of two becoming one.

ETA: ok just read the above post after I posted, I get what you mean now! The priest or deacon can def have them lit for you.

You can totally have the officiant light the two end ones before any of the processional starts, that way when you're ready, you two can light the center one together.

Usually the officiant is up there anyway at the beginning -- he doesn't come up the aisle -- so that can be part of his prep.
