Who Needs a TUX?

FH and I don't think it's necessary for his father & stepfather to wear tuxedos.. isn't it only the men in the wedding party and I guess my father who will be walking me down the aisle? does my father even need to wear one?
I am clueless.. TIA...

The rule isnt that only men in the bridal party have to wear it. Both our dads wore a tux, they just wore different color vests and ties, we let them pick whatever color they wanted. So even though they wore a tux it didnt really match the guys.

I wanted my dad to wear a tux, for such an occasion what better time so why not and dh's dad i felt the same way.

Its up to you really or let them decide

Thanks! I just read a FAQ on the Knot , saying the same thing. It said the tux should be the same style as the grooms & bridal party but can be a different color...
