FHs parents were generous enough to host it for us in NJ....it was intimate, and a great time!

my parents will. i'm paying for and making the invites, menus, place cards and favors.

Etiquette would say the brides parents host the e-party. The grooms parents host the RD. Both sets, as well as the bride and groom can pay for the wedding.

My FILs did not contribute. My parents were extremely generous and the party was wonderful.

My Mom!! I was supposed to have an e-party with my whole family, but my dad pulled some crap and decided he didn't want him or his family to be a part of my e-party and said he would throw me one. So the e-party I had, was amazing, and it was only my moms side of the family and DH's side. My father never threw me one.

its supposed to me the mother of the bride - my mom dosent have the money for something like that so I didnt even ask.
My sister was sweet enough to offer her bakyard and pay for the rentals and split the catering costs with me but we decided against having one... sometimes I regret it but other times I dont
