Who is 'supposed' to pay for the bridal party's makeup? Do they pay for it themselves or do I pick that up? Not sure what protocol is and I don't want to look cheap if I should be paying for it! Thanks so much!!!

its all a matter of preference, if you can afford it, you can pay for it, or if you want to be nice, take care of the tip for the makeup....
i am not paying for my girl's makeup. I told them they can have it done, or if they want to do it themselves, that is fine too.

You don't HAVE to pay for them, but I think if you're requiring that they get their hair/makeup done, you should pay. On the other hand, if they get a choice, it's fine to let them pay. It's up to you.

I paid for MOH (my sister), 2 BM (sister and FSIL), my mother and FH's mother. It was a small bridal party, so I didn't mind. It was expensive, but I felt weird asking them for money.

that can be a toughie....depends on your BP and such. they might not want you to pay...but then again they may say they don't want to pay!
i think i am going to pay for my BP's hair...and ask them to pay for MU that day. kind of split the costs. maybe consider doing that?

its your choice I am not paying for my girls, I told them my makeup artist is available if any of them want to take advantage and told them the price. I am not 'requiring' any of my girls to do it though.

i think its really up to you......any wedding party ive been in the bride really only bought the jewelry that will be worn for the girls!!!
im not a cheap person, but i cant afford everything either. ill prob end up buying the jewelry and thats it. (maybe a little something extra, but ???)

hey, when agreeing to be in a wedding party everyone should already know that they are gonna have to dish out!!!
I only have 2 girls in my BP so I already got them gift cert. for hair and make-up. I think if there were more than that I wouldn't do it. I also know that my girls would be OK with the way thier makeup comes out...someone like myself probably wouldn't appreciate it bc I am extremely picky about my makeup.
