I think usually they bp helps but its mainly brides parents..

i think traditionally the bridal party pays....but it is becoming more common for the bride's mother to pay
my mom will contribute money and then the bridal party will have to split the rest!

it depends on the situation, my parents are paying for mine and thenhaving the BP do the games and gifts for the games. Because they wanted to have it at a specific place.

Traditionally I believe the BP pays but my mom is paying for most, if not all of mine. My girls will probably help out with the logistics of everything.

My mom refuses to help pay. She says etiquette says she doesn't. However etiquette says the brides family pays most everything and she's not doing that. I guess my two MOH will pay for most.

lmao we must have the same moms
From my personal experience i was MOH for bf wedding and the entire bridal party paid, but i will add that both bride and grooms mom did contribute since not everyone could afford the amount. I did spend more since i bought invites decor and few other items on my own. With this said im sure my mom will not help... :(, but i will offer my girls some money, which im sure they will not take since my mom is a pain with money.

Your mom is right. Traditionally the brides family never pays for the shower because its almost like they are asking for gifts for you. There are alot of older people who actually get offended if they find out that the brides mother threw the shower. Personally i think thats really old fashioned and anyone who could afford to should pay for it.

I think it depends on family culture. I'm a bm in my friend's wedding and the bp is paying for everything. For my shower, my mother will be paying and the girls will be offering suggestions for decor, games, etc.

I have been in weddings where the girls pay and in weddings where the moms have done it..my mother told me that she wants to foot the bill and not have the girls worry.

ITA... it totally depends on the situation. My mother is paying for mine. I asked her if she needed/wanted help from the BP and she said no. She would just like them to help set up and decorate, wrap favors and little stuff like that.
