Supposedly my MOH and BMs wanted to do it without my input, but I just found out nothing has been done (and we will need reservations) and it's coming up at the end of August. SO, now I am in the mix because I am not waiting till the last minute to not have any plans or any reservations!!!

It's been kind of a group effort. We all threw out ideas and I finally bit on one of them and that's all the 'planning' that has been done so far.

So far my BM's and MOH are planning it. But I don't think the planning for it is officially in the works. I havent' heard anything good or bad about it yet. So IDK how it's going. I hear a lot more about the shower!

My SIL she is also a BM but she did everything! bachelorette party and shower!
I know it will be a fun time, and i know my SIL will do everything in her power to make my day awesome...but i kinda wish i was the one who planned it! that way i would def do what i wanted to do!

I planned the entire thing -- from the date, to the dinner, to the bar, to what everyone wore.
It was just easier that way since everyone else came from OOT.

My MOH did most of the planning, the other girls did help out with some of the plans. Usually they all take a small part.

my MOH was going to plan it but was OOT for 2 weeks on business so she passed it to a BM who was all gung ho on helping with things until this. The weekend that was good for me and everyone else wasnt for her so she didnt plan it......I never had one because of her. YUP I'M STILL ANGRY!!!!
My advice.....make sure you get input so you know its getting done!

I planned the place, hotel, and the dates... Now I dont know if these girls have any extra surprises for me, but i planned the majority of it.
I felt like if i left it up to some of the others, it either wouldn't get done or we would have done something I hated (like going to see some male strippers)

My MOH took care of everything. We're staying at The Tropicana in AC, going to the spa, out to dinner, a couple bars, and gambling. I don't know detail, like what we're doing at the spa or where we are eating. She also booked a limo to drive all the girls to and from AC.

I stupidly assumed that my sister (my MOH) was planning things. She’s been working like 12 hour days, but she made it seem like she had things under control. Except I hadn’t heard anything about any plans, until one of my BMs asked me what was going on and sent me a list of bars last week asking where I wanted to go!
Oh, and it’s supposed to be this Saturday.
I just sent a message on FB to a few of my other friends to let them know it’s Saturday, since other than my BP no one knew about it. And my sister texted me last night saying, “So what time are we going out on Friday?”
I guess it’s my fault, my sister has never been the most reliable person so I should have told the rest of my BP earlier to take over sooner.

Just read the update--- HOLY CRAP!!!! I would have a conniption.. you have every right to be fuming right about now... its things like this that makes me glad i planned me own... granted mines a little different because we're going away for a weekend...
Thats the 1 thing ive truely learned about planning... you cant be afraid to take charge at the risk of being called a bridezilla... if people knew their responsibilites and just did what they had to, we wouldnt have to remind them 100x over...

Wow, I'm sorry, I'd be annoyed too if it was mere days before and nothing was planned.
I think my one BM and older sister/one of my MOHs are taking the reins on this for me...my BM has been the most vocal, and ran a few ideas by me, which I kaboshed because I am no fun haha, so we're probably doing the wineries, or maybe we'll end up in the city after all, but it's hard because half of my BP are minors still.

My suggestion is just to plan it and make it a fun night that you'll enjoy! Your friends will come along and it'll be a blast!
I don't really understand the frownie faces from people who say they're planning theirs themselves. I think it's most fun if you do things you pick and enjoy.
For my 22nd bday (yes 8 years ago) we went to a male strip club and it was the lamest bday I ever had. If someone was planning something like that for my bparty, I'd not have fun.
The way it turns out, we went to my favorite indian restaurant and my favorite bar, and I had a TOTAL blast! Just a chill time doing the things I love with a little more attention than I usually get (since we all wore matching shirts and mine said 'bride' so everyone paid attention to us and doted a bit, which I loved).
What can I say... I'm a little bit of an attention wh0re!!!

I did the preliminary planning because I wanted it at Fire Island and honestly most of friends don't know Fire Island the way I do. I knew where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do. I took over organizing the date with my BP, looking for places to stay, and figuring out what to do when we couldn't find an affordable way to stay over. MOH took over sending out the invite, even though she couldn't be there (she lives in Paris). My dad planned transportation. Once all that was set then my BM Lisa and my neighbor Laura (who goes to FI all the time) took over and did the rest of the planning.
