Who plays soccer ???

My girlfriend and I are interested in playing soccer (recreational), but we've never played before. Is it easy to pick up as a sport????

Yup... I played through elementary, middle and some of HS then stopped for a LONG time and found out when I was living in Hoboken they have a rec coed league so I played for two years there. Sooo easy and fun to pick up, plus it's great exercise.

I always played left midfield or defense (but not on the coed league b/c the guys are tough)

Wish there was a coed fun league in LI b/c I'd join!

Im AWFUL at soccer and I absolutely love the sport...

Pretty since my family is off the boat guineas

Wow... I'd play. Just couldn't start in the Spring since that's when I'm getting married... Anyone else considering it or play in that league?

I play for an 'Adult Beginers/Intermediate' team in the NY Coed Soccer League in Manhattan. We're called 'Bend it Like Brooklyn' because we're all from various parts of Brooklyn. 6 Guys and 4 Girls. All of the other teams are Co- Ed as well.

You should check online for Adult Leagues in your area. It is a lot of fun and a really spectacular work out because it's sprinting for an hour.

If I can do it anyone can do it! Some of my teammates have been playing for years while others (including myself) have not played since we were kids.

There are some players with definite skills but basically its - KICK BALL, RUN, KICK BALL INTO GOAL!
