OMG Meg I can't believe you are almost done with your program!!! You must be so amazed with yourself and proud of yourself!!!!!!!! GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!

Oh- yesterday for my Infant Stimulization class I take for my Masters (I have to take it since I will be certified in birth-2nd grade) my professor asked us to meet up at LIJ/Schneiders Children's Hospital.

We went into the neonatal unit and spoke with the head doctor of the dept and he brought us into the rooms. I give you nurses who can work with premature babies. I was almost in tears. They were adorable and made me want a baby of my own. But it also makes your heart break seeing those babies struggeling to survive at some points. So I can see why it would be hard to wrok in that dept. But I love old people as well haha so good field.

Congrats again!!!!!!

Thanks!!!! yes this is the reason i can not work with the babies.. when i was at southside doing my pediatric rotation.. this woman left her 8 week old there with an upper resp. infection, dropped him off and was not to bee seen again for 5 days!!! i couldnt handle that i just wanted to take him home with me and love him!!! not saying his mom didnt love him but how can a new mom do that??? i dont know all of the circumstances i just couldnt imagine.
