my FH HATES when i call them that because he thinks of the diseases...

I am a clinical microbiologist. I talk about the other STDs all day at work (actually, the new pc term is STI, sexually transmitted infection). Anyway, I have to be careful when I mention any wedding planning at work.
Off topic, but I caught myself using OOT in an email to my boss the other day.

I have a job where the phrase 'Do you want to see my gonohorrea?' is not uncommon.
'do you want to see my STDs?' has a whole different meaning to me......
