Who should Bush's running mate be?

interesting topic I heard on MSNBC this morning...

I hadn't even thought about dropping Chaney...but b/c of health issues its doubtful that he will run in 2004

they mentioned Condolesa Rice!!!!! and Colin Powell (but said he would probably not want it b/c he would not have an active role in gov't as he is used to)

any other thoughts?

I think Condoleeza Rice is a great choice.

Didn't COlin Powell want to run for President at one time, wouldnt' it be better to be VP first, and then become President

Powell didn't want to run in 2000 b/c his kids were still young (teenagers) and he didn't think it would be fair to his family...

but I think thats why they are thinking about dropping Cheney...he's not a good candidate for 2008

Is there anyone good running against Bush, or do you think Bush will win reelection?

McCain??

i would love to see Mccain...too bad he didn't do this in 2000... but with his health problems its a liability like Chaney

Michelle...the front runner is Howard Dean...IMHO I think hes great...very grassroots...not swayed by party lines (too much)...says it like it is guy...but has gotten into trouble with this- there has been speculation that he would team up with Wesley Clarke (to get the military vote) or Gephart (his mentor)

Joe Lieberman is focusing on New Hampshire...and being that he is from CT it may be a smart move...rather than splitting his attention btwn NH and Iowa (the first 2 primaries)...the winners of these 2 will most likely be the candidate

But do they have a chance against Bush??

Re: Who should Bush's running mate be?

its really up in the air right now...its too far to determine...a lot will ride on what happens in Iraq...if they find weapons of Mass destruction...i think he will be reelected...also Husseins trial could aid in the reelection...

Dean could easily put his foot in his mouth...

Florida will be another key state...so GWB has his brother in his favor - to be honest...i think the southern states could determine the election

Giuliani wouldn't run with Bush. He would upstage Bush, I think.

Pataki?

I'd like to see Tom Ridge make a run for the White House. It's not gonna' happen, but a girl can dream.

Condoleezza Rice is a good choice I think.

I'm gonna write-in my vote for Oprah for President. LOL She'll have the whole country reading, and everyone will feel good about themselves!

Hmmm i think Bush is unstoppable in 2004 regardless of who his running mate is... Let's hope he doesn't pick a complete idiot like his father did.
