Who to Address STD's to... Please Help!!

My wedding is just over a year away. When do I send save the dates? Also, when I send them, do I include exactly who's invited (i.e. Mr. Jason X and Guest) or just the primary invitee, if that makes sense?

I think you can send them a year in advance. I include Mr. & Mrs. John Smith in the address.

I sent mine out in February. We did it addressed the STD's informal.

By informal do you guys mean just no 'Mr.' 'Mrs.' or no adding of the guest or girlfriend/boyfriend's name?

No I dont think thats to late! I have 11 more months.. sending the actual invitation about 2-3 mos before.. so I think I might still wait a few more months for the std

I have the same question...like do we put 'and guest' if we plan on inviting a guest for that person?

And I'm sending mine in like 2-3 weeks...about 11 months before

That's when i plan on it as well I think. I still haven't even picked them out and getting the full final lists with addresses from everyone is certainly no small feat so it'll be a while.

I didn't put & guest ont he STD. I just sent them to the person I was inviting. I saved the & guest for the invite...hope that helps.

same here...

also, for my guests i dropped the mr. & mrs. and addressed family and friends with first name last name. for fhil's guests i added the mr. & mrs. to the last name because they address others in a more formal manner. i call friends of my parents by their first names, fh uses mr. & mrs.

Me too. Also, I did not put Mr. or Mrs. because our STDs were very informal.

We are having scratch off one's, so Id say ours are real informal too....should we use labels or hand written?

When addressing STDs you don't put 'and guest.' I sent mine a year in advance and sent them to OOT guests and the BP w/ hotel information.

I hand wrote the addresses. There's nothing really wrong with labels, but they wouldn't have looked good. (Our STDs were postcards.)

Me too. We sent our 6 months in advance. I'd save the formality for the invites, nicely hand adressed or labled is more than fine I'm sure!
